PART 2 OF TRAIN-THE-TRAINER GENDER SENSITIVE ADJUDICATION TRAINING FOR JUDICIAL OFFICERS TO BE HELD IN TRINIDAD

Judicial officers from five CARICOM countries including Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Belize, will participate in PART 2 of the Train-the-trainer Gender Sensitive Adjudication Training for Judicial Officers to be held on February 19-20, 2018 at the Trinidad and Tobago Judicial Education Institute (TTJEI) in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.

The workshop is being hosted by the Judicial Reform and Institutional Strengthening (JURIST) Project in collaboration with the Caribbean Association of Judicial Officers (CAJO) and UN Women.

The objective of the training is to ensure that participants (a) understand the importance of gender responsive adjudication to the administration of justice and public trust and confidence, and, (b) are motivated to apply gender equality protocols to address gender bias in judicial decision-making.
