Mrs. Gloria Richards-Johnson, Director, Judicial Reform and Institutional Strengthening (JURIST) Project will address CARICOM’s Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) Regional Meeting for Advancing Recommendations for Addressing Gaps in the Human Rights Response under the Justice for All Programme.
The two-day Meeting takes place from October 30-31, 2018 in Kingston, Jamaica and is being convened with support from the 10th European Development Fund (EDF). The objectives of the Meeting are to:
- Validate the findings outlined in the Position Paper on the Human Rights situation in the Caribbean;
- Agree on the key priorities for advancing human rights at the regional level;
- Identify key country level priority issues, timelines, collaborating partners and focal points to advance the national human rights agenda;
- Identify strategies and relevant policies for addressing the priority gaps to achieve the desired results; and
- Develop a draft roadmap to advance the regional human rights agenda.
Mrs. Richards-Johnson will present on “The JURIST Project: Dynamic Reforms in the Court system for tackling violence against women, girls and adolescents.”
