Imroving Women's Access To Justice in the Caribbean
In the Caribbean and around the World, citizens want and expect fairness in the application of justice. Yet research has shown that gender is a factor that can negatively impact the delivery of justice. Women face far greater challenges than men in receiving fair treatment. The Canadian funded JURIST Project is being implemented by the Caribbean Court of Justice. In partnership with UN Women multi country Caribbean office, it is working to establish global best practice, in gender responsive access to justice in the region.
