Basic Search
Objective – Use Basic Search for knowledge, public or otherwise classified knowledge.
Step 1. Enter Search Criteria in the search box as seen in diagram (a) – test search phrase = impact Diagram a.

- Ensure that your role has adequate permissions to view desired level
- Ensure proper search criteria is populated in respective categories.
Advanced Search for Non-Account Holders
Understand/Define what action you would like to take
Objective – Use Advanced Search for public knowledge, public or otherwise classified knowledge.
Understanding your basic searchability:- The KMS has been designed with a multi-pronged, robust approach to searching which allows the user to search for knowledge uploaded on the KMS as well as knowledge gathered about the KMS, however for the purposes of the NON-ACCOUNT HOLDER SEARCH tutorial, we will only focus on the information uploaded on the KMS. The knowledge can be searched using a range of search criteria making your search more accurate, the search can be done using the entire range of criteria or just a few or just one, depending on your need. Read more on diagram b.
Step 1. Select Advanced Search as is highlighted in Diagram a.

Step 2. Select your search criteria by selecting one or more of the search criteria seen in diagram b.
i. Filter Type, whose options are “AND” or “OR”
j. Search Title
k. Select by Category
l. Select by File Type
m. Select by Jurisdiction
n. Select by Date
o. Select by Search Description
p. Or Search Document (search a phrase inside of the document)

Tips to remember when searching for knowledge.
- Ensure that you are signed in if you have been logged in but inactive for a while.
- Ensure that your role has adequate permissions to view desired level.
